LEONARDO PADURA

Leonardo Padura is the most famous Cuban writer alive today. He was responsible for coordinating the screenplays in 7 Days in Havana.

He and his wife, Lucia Lopez Coll, co-wrote three of the screenplays with the directors: El Yuma by Benicio Del Toro, Dulce Armargo by Juan Carlos Tabío and La Tentación de Cecilia by Julio Medem. Padura interviewed some of the directors and actors from 7 Days in Havana and takes us on a tour of his city.

In his famous comic, Deadpan, he offers us a 7 Days in Havana Cuba Special. His drawings and comments, always biting and realistic, recount the several days he spent on location with Gaspar Noé, Elia Suleiman and Juan Carlos Tabio.
